Hi, I'm Callie (she/her)!

I'm a fat, white, neurodivergent, queer relationship anarchist, and adoptive mom of two.
I became a therapist in 2015 after spending several years in reproductive justice activism and later working on a hotline assisting pregnant people in crisis to access abortion care. My approach to counseling and coaching has always been rooted in the goal of supporting individuals from a social justice oriented lens.
As an activist, I believe that learning to connect with ourselves and our bodies is an act of resistance. Also, we need to give ourselves permission to access pleasure in abundance, which is a necessary part of working to dismantle systems of oppression. Self-acceptance and joy are each necessary survival skills and radical acts of rebellion.
As a politicized therapist and coach, I believe we cannot ignore the ways in which our experiences with being marginalized impact how we engage in relationships, our development of self-esteem and self-worth, how "successful" we can be under capitalism, our ability to be present and at peace in our bodies, and even our our will to keep living. How could we possibly keep politics out of it?
